The interactive app preserves every directory row. For search-engine pages, 292 exact duplicate institution-ID rows are consolidated into one canonical profile per school.

Administrative overlay

The national baseline is the OCHA/HDX Ghana COD-AB boundary dataset. Its 16-region and 260-district geometry is completed with Guan District using OpenStreetMap relation 13804589. Guan is assigned to Oti Region and removed from Hohoe Municipal for the integrated 261-district browser layer.

Each usable school coordinate is assigned to a current region and district by point-in-polygon. Of 8,865 coordinate records, 8,863 fall inside a district polygon. Two source coordinates fall outside Ghana’s national polygon and remain explicitly flagged instead of being forced into an administrative area.

Location limitation

Most coordinates represent the named town, village or locality, not the exact school campus. They are suitable for approximate discovery and aggregate analysis, but should be verified before field navigation.
